Information on Langstrothdale, Yorkshire
The source of the River Wharfe lies on the moors above Langstrothdale and the river flows south through the dale, where it meets Cray Beck and Cray Gill near Buckden, marking the beginning of Wharfedale. Its a little populated dale with a scenic driving route heading over the moors to arrive at Gayle in Wensleydale.
